Origin of George Waterfalls

This waterfalls forms during the spring season in  the month of March and April and become a amazing view to our eyes. The water is originated from the Mount Lebanon. The ice melts during the earlier summer season and flows enormous amount of water and drops down through the sinkhole in the three-bridges chasm formed naturally by the limestone rocks.

The earlier research studies reported that, this waterfalls exist 150 million years ago since the period of Dinosaurs. The mountains naturally formed by the erosion of limestone rocks(mainly consists of Calcium carbonate) forming a "sinkhole" deep down the mountain. It is one of the best tourist spot in Lebanon, attracts people with its massive panaroma. Though the view of the massive waterfalls is adoring, it is suggested that not get too close to the rocks, it might have tickles, more slippery even it is not wet.
