Ambitious Dream turns to Reality | Tow an Iceberg from Antarctica to UAE

The Managing Director of National Advisor Bureau Limited, Abdulla Alshehi  once in an interview with Inspire Middle East said, he planned to tow an iceberg from the Heard Island of Antarctica to Fugairah coast UAE.

In that interview he clearly exposes his plan of "Harvesting the iceberg" to provide a fresh drinking water all over the world.

Over six years of his ambition, the inventor and the enterprenaur decided to do this huge project.

ICEBERG HARVESTING

Alshehi said that the journey of taking an iceberg to the UAE will takes around ten months. The idea of harvesting iceberg comes from the Saudi Arabia. At first Saudia Arabia made an attempt to tow an iceberg, but later they can't continue the project due to some technical difficulties.

Alshehi planned to tow an iceberg from the Heard Island, Antarctica. The Iceberg for this project was selected by the satellite. It is around 2 kilometres with 500 metres wide and nearly 300 metres in depth. This iceberg is located 1.2 miles 550 yards from the Fugairah Coast.

The patent-bending panel belt will be used to prevent the iceberg from melting during the transportaion. The chances of getting an whole iceberg is quite difficult, bt its sure that 70% of iceberg will remains stable rather than melting.

The project of harvesting iceberg will be expecting to implement within five years. Before initiating this process, Alshehi plans to do preliminary harvesting nearer to the island. It is expected to take a trial in Cape town of South Africa or Perth of Australia.

The cost of preliminary test is around $60-$80 million. The whole transportation from Antarctica to Fugairah Coast UAE, will cost between $100-$150 million.

Purpose of Iceberg Harvesting

▶ UAE doesn't has much water resources, they consumes 15% desalinated water from the world.By doing this project, floating an iceberg off 3km from the land and harvesting a gallons of water from the iceberg will provides enough amount of water to UAE also throughout the world.

▶ They also planned to make an iceberg in the sea into the tourist spot. The view will attract the people to see. They will introduce a concept of "Glacial tourism", to the visitors.

▶ According to Alshehi, this project will provides more desert rain because of the iceberg which makes the environment chill.

▶ He made a statement that the arrival of iceberg will not influence  any species living in the water.

China's Monster | Three Gorges Dam⛲

Three Gorges Dam in China is the world's largest hydroelectric power station located in the area covers Sandouping, Yichang, Wuhan, Hubei across the Yangtze River. The power generated from this dam having the capacity  of 22,500 MW since 2012. This dam contains 45 billion tons of water, having the capacity of slows down the earth's rotation by 0.06 microseconds.

Origin of Three Gorges Dam

                  Three Gorges Dam
At first the idea of this huge project was proposed by Sun-Yat-Sen, often considered as The Father of modern China at the early 1919's.
Sun-Yat-Sen introduces the project for mainly three purposes.
            Flood Control
           ▫ Hydroelectric Power Production
           ▫ Navigation
After the idea of the construction, it was not discussed until 1942-1946. There were multiple attempts in the construction of the dam in 1950's and 1970's yet the project was postponed by the government of China.

Completion of Three Gorges Dam Project

In 1994, the construction of the great project Three Gorges Dam was started and completed in 2006. From 2012, the generators of the dam starts generating hydroelectric power.

Impacts of Three Gorges Dam

At the earlier stage of this project, many habitants were forced to migrate from their place to find a new place. Still it is a major issue in the China for the migration of people to someother places. The reservoir built by the dam having 405 Square miles area. Therefore it helps to keep the cities safe during heavy rains and floods. The cities nearer to the yangtze are Wuhan, Shanghai, Nanjing.

Water Level Increases

(Release of excess water from the dam due to increase of water level)

The continuous rain in the Shanghai, results in increasing the level of water in the dam.The dam was constructed to hold the water of 145m height but due to the heavy rain water level goes to 162m at the end of june. Over 200 rivers in China experienced the same problem. As the results, it affects 200 million people.

Honda Motors, operating three power plants in Wuhan. The facilitates are responsible for nearly 1.3 million vehicles manufactured by China fiscal 2019. If the rain continues and severe floods arrival may hugely affects the financil status of Hero motors

Like hondamotors many resources from china are manufactured and provides them to the entire world especially medications. Day to day the water level of three gorges dam increases. If it continues then it may lead to deformation of the whole dam and huge problems will arrives in the surrounding environment causing big damage to the entire nation of China.

After collision these particles blow out from the holes of magnetic filed around the sun and moves towards the earth's atmosphere. The weak magnetic field  in the earth's atmosphere deflects the charged particles then the particles undergoes collision with the gas molecules in the atmosphere.

After the collision of the charged particles with the gas molecules some varaition of colours are formed. They are pale
Yellowish-green, by collide with oxygen molecules at the hight 60 miles above the earth. Depending upon the altitudes the color will be formed. The oxygen molecules at the hight of 200 miles can forms a red colour light. Nitrogen forms blue colour and the molecules of nitrogen produces purple-red coloured light.

Disappearnace of Massive Star in a distant galaxy

                Nyx Stars(a fading stars)

Astronomers have found a research on a new stream of stars in our Milky Way galaxy.

They  identified a cluster of 250 stars, that has been named Nyx, for the Greek goddess of the night.

According to a new study, a massive star(Nyx)has quietly disappeared in a dwarf galaxy 75 million light-years away.

Due to the lack of visible supernova, the researchers believe that the star going to dim and was obscured from our view because of dust or else it may reach the end of its life and collapsed into a black hole.

In the Previous research, astronomers studied and observed the star between 2001 and 2011. Those observations helped to  determine that the star was in the later stage of its evolution and lifetime.

Although the star is at such a distance that it's difficult to recognize the signals of individual stars, this blue star was 2.5 million times brighter than the sun.

The research team used different instruments in hopes to identify a massive star, but still can't found and also mentioned "its unusal that how could be possible to dissapear without producing any explosion".

The team also looked back the data of the star between 2001-2011, which suggested that the star may have experianced a series of outbursts that leads to lack of its stability. Furthermore, the future telescopes may study a distant stars in more detail and hope we will know about this steller mystery.

The Game Changer | Jio Mart

Reliance Industries Chairman, Mukesh Ambani made two very important announcements.
▶ The Reliance Retail was receiving global investor interest.
▶ JioMart would be expanded beyond grocery.

With global investors giving it the financial muscle and an aggressive focus on expanding its offline-to-online model, Reliance Retail, specifically JioMart, could threaten the kind of position that Amazon and Walmart’s Flipkart enjoy in India.

At the AGM, Ambani announced that JioMart will expand to cover electronics, fashion, pharmaceutical and healthcare in the coming days. These are sectors that Reliance already has a foothold in offline through Reliance Retail that it could ultimately leverage.

Amazon India and Walmart’s Flipkart both have a wide reach and deep pockets and have been aggressive in maintaining a hold over India’s e-commerce market.

Though nascent, the Indian e-commerce market is largely dominated by these two players. Every other competitor — Snapdeal, Paytm Mall, Shopclues — has failed to achieve the same scale that these two have.

JioMart, however, could change the game since it has what others lacked: the financial muscle, a history of aggressive market expansion and a strong offline backing.

Devangshu Dutta, founder of consulting firm Third Eyesight, points out that Reliance is not an underdog. “As a company, whenever it (Reliance) has seen a sector as strategic, it has very aggressively built its presence — whether its telecom or retail. And JioMart is seen as strategic. Ambani made a very clear statement on that — they will invest in it aggressively and build scale in it,” he adds.
